Among other things the product design today focuses on development of energy media centers, setting new standards for communicating energy and water consumption to your employees. Dedicated visualizations ensures that everybody understands the “energy picture” whether you are a pupil in fifth grade or your are the managing director for 5000 employees. KeepFocus’ solutions are used both in Denmark and abroad.
KeepFocus was founded in 1993 as Humlum Energy Consult. The name was changed to KeepFocus in 1999 when VC fund PreVenture, owned by former Oticon MD Lars Kolind, invested in the company. Later PreVenture has become part of NorthCap Partners. The original idea of founder Claus Humlum was to develop easy to understand tools to visualize the energy and water consumption for a building. Hereby the daily users of the building could gain insight in the actual consumption and thus actively contribute to reduce the excessive consumption. This soon proved to be a sustainable idea. This idea still is the foundation of KeepFocus and the energy and water consumption tools has since 1999 been web based.
